Welcome to My Aice Media Studies Blog

    Hello! Welcome to my Aice Media Studies Blog, this is the first of many blogs to come. To begin with, what is so important about studying Media Studies? Well, Media Studies is important to study about due to how much of a presence media has in our life. For example, movies, shows, social media, games are all forms of media. A habit of mine is watching videos before sleeping, this just shows how impactful and common media is in our life. My favorite type of media product I consume is video games, this is a very popular source of media for people in my age group. I consume video games because of how purely entertaining it is and a fun time killer whenever I'm bored. People in my age group also do it for this reason but also for some do it on a professional level. Three things I find most interesting about Media Studies is the creative requirements needed, learning new facts about media, and examining media and describing it.     

   The type of media product I will be documenting on my blog will be an opening film, the type of film I would like to create is a high school drama film, this film will connect with a drama teen audience with a slice of life. The reason why I plan to make a high school drama film is due to inspiration from the film "Perks of Being a Wallflower" and so I can connect with the same audience I fall in with. The message of this film will be about school stress and drama and to bring awareness towards it. The skills I would need to learn to produce this film is proper camera work, I would need to refine my video editing skills as well to properly present the film with no errors, and I would need to fully understand properties of a opening film to create my own.   

Four strategies and success skills I would need to learn to create my film and document my blogging journey consists of, video editing, ability to define media well, camera work, and also ability to work with a team to produce this film opening. These will help in my goal to complete Component one with a high score as they will aid in the film itself and also help in my blogs. For example, the ability to define media well can aid in my blogs length, elaboration, and information. This is my first blog for Aice Media Studies, MoonStarProductions.
